The Wurlitzer Gala Re-Opening Concert on 25 October and the Christmas Spectacular on 7 December have already sold out.

Tickets are still available for the Christmas Spectacular (Saturday 13 December, 7.30pm) and the Gala New Year’s Day Concert (Thursday 1 January 2009, 2.30pm).

Christmas Spectacular Concert
The Christmas Spectacular Concert features Donald MacKenzie at the Wurlitzer. The acapella group known as ‘Swanning Around’ will also play on the night.

Donald MacKenzie is the regular organist for The Odeon, Leicester Square, where he plays the 5/17 Compton - still in its original location. He is in demand for concerts around the world, and has made recordings on several theatre organs

Swanning Around was formed in May 2005 by four members of a local Barbershop Chorus. They have been inspired by the close harmony sounds of the Manhattan Transfer, the Kings Singers and the Swingle Singers. They perform in London and the Home Counties.

Gala New Year’s Day Concert
A black tie, Gala New Year’s Day Concert will be held at The Musical Museum at 1.45pm for a 2.30pm start. There will be Buck’s Fizz to start the day.

The concert will feature Viennese favourites popular Proms music. Michael Broadway, on pianola, is a special guest. Michael is known as a skilful accompanist for singers and instrumentalists. An organ builder by profession, he also cares for the organs of the Royal Albert Hall and St Paul’s Cathedral.

Opening Hours
The Musical Museum is open normally from Tuesday to Sunday, 11.00-17.30.
At Christmas, The Museum closes from 21-26 December, reopening on Saturday 27 December.
The Museum is closed on 1 January 2009, except for concert ticket holders.

Trains: London Waterloo Station to Kew Bridge. Turn right when leaving Kew Bridge Station and walk ¼ mile west of the station to the Museum.

Underground: District Line to Gunnersbury, and then catch a 237 or 267 bus, alighting opposite the Museum. Alternatively, Piccadilly Line to South Ealing, then a 65 bus, alighting outside the Museum.

Car: The Museum has limited car park spaces and parking in Brentford High Street is restricted. Coach: Coach parties must be booked in advance
